So, when are you
opening your store?
Well, we are currently working on that. Details like making
sure there is good storage space and it will be easy to find are real concerns.
We currently hope to be open in early Spring. The webstore is currently
open though. We believe our prices are quite fair, with reasonable shipping
rates for delivery orders.
I thought you said earlier by Halloween…
Yeah…. An investor backed out, which caused some issues. But
things are beginning to move forward again, and we are targeting spring now.
You have single pieces of candy in your webshop?
Well, yeah. We have a couple of lesser expensive items that
can be added to your order, but if sold
on their own and shipped would be rather useless. They also are there to be
added on for pick up orders, which will be available as an option once the main
store opens.
Hey, what happened to the Slim Jims?
Ran out, and I will not be restocking those until the store
is open. (On the bright side, I plan on expanding the Jerky selection once the
full store is open.)
Are there any other benefits to the webstore?
Yes, for one thing you can read reviews on various items,
and even write ones yourself. I personally write reviews for the products I
have tried. Product descriptions are based on the labels, my opinions are in my
reviews. My review is my opinion. Your
opinions will probably vary, and you can even submit your reviews about your
favorite (or even your least favorite) products.
Wait, you haven’t tried every product you carry?
I do try. My fridge at home has about 15 different bottles
of hot sauce at the moment. When you take into account the hundreds of products
we anticipate having in stock over the coming months, you can see that trying
them all would be a daunting task. I will likely base what I try next based on
sales and reviews, or whatever looks good when I need a new bottle. Based on
heat and flavor, I have gone through bottles in a few days to over a month on
others. Gator Hammocks mini bottle was
the fast one, it was small and I finished off when we went out to a fast food
Taco place, and the travel size of Hottest Fuckin Hot Sauce took a bit over a
month. And I still have to fight off the urge to go back and get a favorite
when it’s time for a new one. (I have between 30 and 40 different hot sauces in
stock at the moment.)
Do I need a credit card/Pay Pal to purchase from you?
Credit Card transactions are done via PayPal. Checks and
Money Orders can also be used if mailed to the payment address giving during
checkout. Checks not honored by the bank will incur a fee, imposed by a third
party collection agency. Paypal likes demanding verified addresses, though I
don’t know for sure what it thinks if you are not a Paypal user. If this does
become an issue for you during checkout, you can call or email your order, and an
alternate setup for Paypal can be done. (I’ve done it before, it’s not the most
elegant way to do it though.)
Does the website list all the products that will be in the
store?
No, partially because I am not putting any taxable items on
the website, but there will be some in the store. Things like shirts and
novelty items. Also, the website stock list corresponds to what is being
stored, so once the store is open, all of a certain product may be on the self,
and thus would not show up on the website, though we intend to keep that to a minimum.
Do you ship your products directly?
Yes, all products on the site are in stock, and shipped and
packed by me. No third party fulfillment.
This is to your benefit, since once the store is open you will be able to order
online and pick up and pay in the store, or even pay online and just run in and
pick up your order. (You will receive an email once the order is ready for
pickup.)
Are the prices the same online and in the store?
They sure are, and you don’t even have to pay for shipping
if you come into the store, once it is open.
What is your return policy?
Because of the nature of our products, we can’t accept
returns for orders that are shipped, unless the wrong item somehow gets
shipped. Mailed items are insured for damage, just in case. For in store
purchases, we only offer exchanges on unopened items.
